Cell Plots

no communicado…

My phone has found a better place to be,
Than drowning in my handbag full of junk.
As sure as shit, it isn’t here with me.
Or on the kitchen counter, shit, I’m sunk…

I must retrace my footsteps for a time,
Locate and foil this cell’s evasive plot,
I’ll solve the phone-dialemma and the crime,
For if I don’t it’s staying there to rot…

But hark, it’s been two fortnights, not a thing,
Where it could be? I do not understand,
If only it would call, if it would ring…
if only it was welded to my hand.

But sure as shit, it isn’t here with me,
My phone has found a better place to be…

  1. g’day mate,

    Very cool! P. I see, I see….

Love the poem, also. Great enjambments…solid rhymes and fine meter!
I have hard time relating, however, as M and I have zero signal in our area. (We truly ARE in the boonies!)
We do have a cheap cellphone but it’s always in the car for emergencies, so unless our car is stolen…I know where my phone is:)

    Love this!

Okay, back to the old site:(
